VoIP Upgrage

Please follow the instructions after VoIP system upgrade

SoftPhone Users1 (Broadband Access and SuiteAdvantage users):

After the system upgrade, please follow the instructions below to re-login your SoftPhone:

  1. Right-click on the softphone, and select “Re-initialize selected service…”
  2. On the Account entry, please enter [Your OneSuite Username]-voip.onesuite.com (Your username is case-sensitive.)
  3. Enter your password. You may retrieve your SoftPhone password here.

    step7: Installation is complete. Click on Finish

  4. Click on OK. The SoftPhone faceplate shows “Ready to call.” You may begin to dial out from your SoftPhone.

SuiteAdvantage Subscribers Only:

The upgraded VoIP system features more powerful voicemail functions:2

  • Distribution Group Management – Similar to an email contact group, the voicemail distribution group is a list of mailboxes/phone numbers for subscriber to send or forward messages. Start creating your voicemail distribution group here.
  • Send Message – Allows subscriber to record a message and send it to a phone number, SuiteAdvantage mailbox or defined distribution group.
  • Forward Message – Allows subscriber to forward a message to a phone number, SuiteAdvantage mailbox or distribution group.
  • Reply to Message – Allows subscriber to call back the message sender.
  • Auto-Play of New Messages – The system automatically plays new voicemail messages when subscriber dials into the voice mailbox.
  • Auto Forward Message – The system automatically forwards any new message to a phone number or SuiteAdvantage mailbox.
  • Auto-Carbon Copy of New Messages – The system automatically sends a carbon copy of any new message to a phone number or SuiteAdvantage mailbox.
  • Extended Absence Greeting – If set up, caller will need to confirm before recording the message. This option serves to minimize the number of messages in the mailbox.
  • Review Greeting by Number – Allows subscriber to set up and review greetings by number.

If you previously access your SuiteAdvantage voicemails through phones, after re-initializing your SoftPhone, please dial *0 on your SoftPhone keypad and follow the instruction to change your voicemail password:

  1. Press 5 for Mailbox administration.
  2. Then press 1 to change your password.

You may further change your voicemails greetings, or create voicemail distribution group. Just follow the new voicemail menu:

  1. If you’re dialing from a third-party IP phone, please also re-initialize the account name by entering
    [Your OneSuite Username]-voip.onesuite.com (Your username is case-sensitive.)

  2. If you’re sending/forwarding the message to another SuiteAdvantage number, there won’t be any charges. For messages sent/forwarded to non-SuiteAdvantage numbers, our VoIP per-minute rates will apply. Please visit our Rate Page for details.
